Zepol TradeIQ Reporting Engine Enhancement Launch

Posted by Kevin Palmstein on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 1 Comments »
Today, Zepol launched a new enhancement for all TradeIQ Professional and Enterprise users that allows them to create and download over 8 million different types of aggregate reports. This upgrade provides our users with the most advanced reporting capabilities for aggregate reports or roll ups.

We created this reporting upgrade after we looked at the alternative of creating a host of aggregate standardized reports. However, we knew we could never keep up with the number of unique reports that our customers would have requested. In addition, we have a philosophy to provide our users with as much choice and information as possible. Hence, we decided to create an engine that can create up to 8 million different aggregate reports that allows users to define the aggregate reports they need.

This enhancement is all about answering questions for our users, which the stakeholders in their companies ask them on a daily basis that only trade data can answer. Instead of sifting through thousands of Bill of Lading records, we have made it possible to report on these elements easily across large spans of time.

As part of this enhancement, we have created a video, shown below, to illustrate the enhancement to our users:

Below are samples of several reports that can be created from our new ‘Customize Grid Report’ functionality:
Zepol is very proud of this enhancement and would like to celebrate by providing free trials to readers of our blog and any company interested in Zepol’s trade data tools. Click here to sign up for your free trial.

How Zepol Builds Relationships with Our Customers

Posted by Kevin Palmstein on Thursday, February 18, 2010 No Comments »
Zepol is built on a core belief that our services can help companies around the world improve their international business decision making processes. To help ensure that our customers receive the information they need, we work hard to build long-term relationships with companies rather than rely on individual, anonymous transactions to drive our business. In a way, this is much harder to do than the alternative, but we truly believe that to grow a sustainable business, our users and the public must trust us as an essential information source for their international business.

The first part of building our relationships with customers is that we are up front and honest with what we can do to help them and how we will do so. Our founders have a philosophy to under promise and over deliver, which has guided every relationship we have with our users. We make sure we ask the questions to understand what is most important to our customers and answer questions honestly, because we don’t want to waste anyone’s time dancing around issues.

We then work extremely hard to make sure that our customers get the most out of their subscriptions because they have invested greatly in our company and we need to ensure that they receive a tangible return. This means providing our industry’s best customer service and training. Instead of providing general training to our customers, our trade data specialists work with every one of our new customers in a customized training session. Yes, this takes a lot of time, but it is hugely important to help users get the most out of their investment in Zepol.

Like we have mentioned before, subscribing with Zepol is the same as investing in our company. We say this because we drive our revenues back into the development of our tools. We constantly enhance our products and give these upgrades directly to our customers on a monthly or even weekly basis. This breakneck pace of innovation is great for our users, especially since we prioritize and develop all upgrades based directly on their feedback.

Finally, the last part of a relationship is a two-way conversation, as we are a service provider to the international trade industry; we talk to our customers and show them how to do new things. That is part of what makes our user base very unique. Not every company that tries our tools will subscribe to our services, but we have found the organizations that are driving innovation and the leaders in their industries keep subscribing. We think a big part of this is they want to learn new ways to use trade data, which by itself is just raw information, but great tools like TradeIQ and TradeView show the data in new ways that creates the knowledge needed to drive new decisions.

TradeIQ and Zepol.com Announcements

Posted by Kevin Palmstein on Wednesday, November 05, 2008 No Comments »
A lot has happened in the last week at Zepol. We have added several new features to www.zepol.com, made a couple of enhancements to TradeIQ, and received some press from a local magazine. With all this going on, I wanted to run down a few of the items:

1. Zepol was featured in the Twin Cities Business magazine's Going Global section. They did an overview on our company and how we help importers know more about their markets.

2. We added a Video Demonstrations page to Zepol.com. This page walks visitors through guided tours of TradeIQ. I encourage you to check out both the company and product search videos, to understand what makes Zepol different from other data providers. The videos clearly illustrate our unique interface that allows you to get both an aggregate and detailed view of U.S. import data.

3. We added a button to the front page of our website to allow those new to trade data to get a sample report. This will allow you to see what kind of information your can receive on your competitors, suppliers, and marketplace.

4. We added sorting functionality to the saved searches section of TradeIQ. This makes our saved searches even easier to use. Our customers save time by saving their commonly run searches, allowing them to spend minutes every week retrieving data instead of hours.

5. Finally, we are happy to announce that TradeIQ is now available using Google's Chrome browser. This makes TradeIQ available for Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, Mozilla Firefox (Mac and PC), and Google's Chrome. In other words, if you can access the Internet, then you can find the Bill of Lading data you need from anywhere in the world.

More enhancements are coming to TradeIQ and we plan on adding other website features to help the international trade community.
