For the first time in history, monthly land trade between the countries participating in the North American Free Trade Agreement reached over $80 billion. Over the years there has been fluctuation in land trade, which includes truck and rail shipments, as well as other modes of transportation; however, there haven’t been trade values that have reached over $70 billion since October 2010. The graph below displays the changes that have occured in trade by land from 2007 through 2011. The trade by value via land has increased 16% since March of last year, and 58% since March 2009. This increase in trade is beneficial for all parties and we hope to see a continual upward trend in the future.
